Compass North is a program of Child and Family Services that serves homeless and runaway youth or those that are at risk of becoming homeless or runaways. This program offers two services: Youth and Family Outreach and Transitional Living Services.
The goal of our Youth and Family Outreach service is to support family reunification. Case management and counseling is offered to youth ages 12 – 20 and their families for up to 90 days. We also provide community education to various organizations to explain our services and identify other issues and needs affecting youth in our community.
Transitional Living Services offers youth 16 – 21 support up to 18 months to assist them with achieving success in the following areas:
A host home situation is also available to to youth who are living with a friend or extended family member. Households that agree into this agreement and meet eligibility requirements may receive a daily stipend.
Compass North services the following counties: Alpena, Alcona, Iosco and Montomorency. All services are completely voluntary, FREE and confidential.
