We are excited about a few events we have going on in our agency. COVID-19 didn’t stop us or our families in taking a positive approach to what has been defined as a “new normal.” We developed a few social distancing fun activities that families across all programming, our Board and our team could participate in. Several of our families, youth, children, staff and our Board members chose to create a quilt square modeled after our theme, Together We Rise With Positive Vibes. It’s exciting to see all the wonderful designs that are coming in at this time. Once we have received all the squares, our volunteer, Sharon Jack has agreed to donate her time as she did the materials to put this community quilt together. We are excited to see the finished product and the unity that this quilt will represent even during difficult times.

The other fun activity that we are doing that also aligns with the theme noted above is our monthly giveaway drawings that will inspire you to learn a bit more about our agency, experience some new fun activities to do with children, get to know our agency and our team better and participate in some fun social distancing activities. Taking part in these activities will enable you to be entered into monthly drawings for themed baskets giveaways full of great stuff (toys, household items, clothing, spa care, tools, art supplies, and on and on and on). To kick off this activity, starting in July, you will see a Face Book post every Monday during the whole month. Simply respond to the posts as indicated to have your name entered into a random drawing for a prize basket that will be given away each Friday during the month of July. So in July, you will have four chances to win! Starting in August, continue to follow us on Face Book and respond to the posts for your chance to win prize that will be given away each month for the next twelve months.

Lastly, are you still looking to get rid of your empty bottles or cans? We can help! Simply drop them off to our agency, 1044 US 23 North, Alpena, or call (989) 356-4567 Ext. 200 and someone would glad to pick them up for you. All outside donations go toward supporting children, youth and families within our eleven counties.
